Once upon a time… The Sons of Emotion Cymbeline
More than 45 years of history, love story and passion for artistic crafts orchestrated by our seamstresses, fabric makers, pattern makers, pattern makers, lace makers... The workshops of Cymbeline are recognized for their exceptional know-how and constantly renewed creativity. French roots which do not prevent an international positioning, and a presence on couture catwalks around the world.
Cymbeline is undoubtedly one of the leaders in wedding dresses in Europe, and the reference brand in terms of the image of French excellence and incomparable expertise.
Great house of French wedding dresses, Cymbeline presents its new collections in the famous international trade fairs of Paris, Barcelona, London, Milan, Essen and Düsseldorf, and parades in the prestigious Fashion Show parade during Barcelona Bridal Week.
Cymbeline… A symphony of French know-how and elegance, vibrato of lace, rustling taffeta and trimmings, captivating and intoxicating silk that captures our emotions. Silk thread, lace thread, embroidery thread and evening thread, have been used for this new collection full of mastery.
JOSIE (FINISHER), with her nimble fingers and a lot of patience, the lacemaker meticulously reproduces a pattern drawn by a stylist or designer. For this she uses needles, hooks and spindles and white linen threads, pearl cotton, unbleached silk or gold or silver or even colored threads. Every day, dresses come to life thanks to the seamstresses. They make and assemble all the pieces, to become the symbol of our house, the wedding dress.

OLIVIA (GRADUATE BOSS), The pattern maker obtains each element of the model in different forms from the pattern maker, she brings these elements together with complementary pieces representing the linings, the interior reinforcements. It controls the assembly lines and the location of the positioning points of the clamps, buttons, etc. The patterns are made from paper and cardboard on the computer supports. This will make it possible to create templates intended to facilitate manufacturing.
EUGENIE (CUTTER), The cutter manually carries out the operations of cutting the pieces of fabric into lengths, taking care to minimize material losses and checking any apparent defects. JOSIE (FINISHER), LUCIA (MODEL MECHANIC)
LUCIA (MODEL MECHANIC), the model maker brings the stylist’s project to life. An essential link in the chain of creation of a collection, the model maker materializes the idea of a creator by carrying out and supervising the different stages of work necessary between the sketch and the prototype of a piece. Then the canvas designer drapes the canvas on a mannequin in order to obtain a pattern from a sketch, in conjunction with the artistic director, interpreting the sensitivity of the house.
